WILL YOU MARRY YOU?

This is a common question that you can find on self help inventories. And most times we're asked casually by our friends and family. While so many folks usually have an immediate Yes or No response to this question, the question is more elaborate than it seem to be. There are aspects to this question. Let's break it down into three parts.

WILL YOU MARRY SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE SAME LIFE SITUATION AS YOU?

WILL YOU MARRY SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE SAME FINANCIAL SITUATION AS YOU?

WILL YOU MARRY SOMEONE WHO HAS THE SAME LIFE ACHIEVEMENTS AS YOU?

From life observations, we all want to marry someone richer, we want to marry someone more advanced in life, we want to marry someone younger. But then, instead of looking for someone who will have all the achievements you want in a partner, why not make yourself that person. I bet your answers to the above questions was NO. No you can't marry someone who is in the same social class as you, and probably your social class isn't so good. No you can't marry someone who earns anything less than six figures. No you can't marry someone who doesn't have a master's degree. We expect so much in a partner, that in most cases, we end up getting nothing close to what we want. You know why? because we haven't made the upgrade yet. You have to be the CEO you want to marry.

Instead of putting so much energy searching for our dream man or woman who has six packs or a figure 8 and works in an oil company and earns six figures and drives a Rolls Royce Phantom VIII. We can channel all that energy into upgrading and developing ourselves. Stop looking for who will complete you. Because in most cases, the upgrade you're looking for, maybe looking for someone more upgraded. And that person might not be in your Level or class. But when you upgrade yourself, you attract someone better.

You can be who you want to marry. Stop looking for who will complete you, you were born a COMPLETE PACKAGE. All you have to do is increase in most areas of your life. Even the Bible stated clearly in Luke 2:52, "Jesus increased in Wisdom and in Stature and in Favour with God and Man. Therefore, we must increase in Wisdom; experience, knowledge and good judgement. Wisdom is intelligence. Having understanding. Wisdom is seeing a situation as God sees it. And acting on things the way God did. Secondly, we must increase in Stature. Stature here means Height or Influence. We must grow Financially, Spiritually, Socially, Mentally, Academically, Emotionally, Character wise and Vision. Physically you have to grow. Stature reflects in the way you take care of yourself and the value you place on yourself. The way you take care of yourself determines how you take care of your partner. And lastly, Favour. Favour is approval. Preferred and approved by God and by men. The world is looking for the best. And marriage poses by recommendation.

Conclusively, next time, when faced with the question WILL YOU MARRY YOU? You won't have to give so much thought to it, or say No because you feel you're under developed. Rather with so much pride, you'd say Yes because you know you have attained the desired picture of a perfect partner, therefore you're okay with any man your Maker bring your way. And you sure know His choice is always the best.
